Tiana Epps-Johnson -

Founder/ ExecutiveDirector @ Center for

Tech and Civic Life

Tiana Epps-Johnson is the Founder and Executive Director of the non-partisan, Zuckerburg-funded Center for tech and Civic Life. Prior to founding CTCL, Tiana worked for New Organizing Institute, a left-progressive group that trained digital organizers for the Democratic Party. In 2018, she was named to the inaugural class of the Obama Foundation Fellows. Tiana currently sits on the board of the Center for Civic Design, featured earlier this month.

Tiana and her nonpartisan team funded and advised thousands of local election offices during the 2020 election. The CTCL team provided for poll-worker training, drop boxes, vote by mail campaign, and much more all with level-handed nonpartisanship.

On August 5, 2021 Epps-Johnson joined the Run For Something PAC founder, Amanda Litman for a podcast segment titled “Why You Shouldn’t Run Your Elections on Windows 7”. Tiana and Amanda spoke about the threats of mis-information campaigns for election officials and the need for proper training to combat them. (Run For Something seeks to install young progressives in down-ballot races, such as election admin positions. RFS proudly supports candidates who are “pro-choice, pro-universal health care, pro-LGBTQ equality, pro-criminal justice reform; pro-working families and organized labor, pro-voting rights…..”).
